Welcome to CAQHA

Picture

The Capitol Area Quarter Horse Association was formed in 1984 by a group of dedicated Quarter Horse owners living in central Texas.

CAQHA was created to support and develop the Quarter Horse industry by producing quality events and providing educational information to its members.  While Quarter Horses are central to our mission, we are proud to offer shows, clinics, and activities for ALL breeds of horses.

At our shows, clinics and events CAQHA adheres to rules, policies, judgments, and procedures upheld by the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), our parent organization.  AQHA Class procedures apply to all applicable classes.

CAQHA also recognizes all equine activities in the community by assisting and contributing to area 4-H groups and non-profit equine based organizations.

CAQHA is a non-profit organization governed by volunteer officials and board of directors. With over 300 members, Capitol Area Quarter Horse Association is one of the largest regional Quarter Horse Associations in the country.

Wow!
CAQHA is one of the largest regional
Quarter Horse Associations in the Nation!
